New York City Trip: Day #3-01/04/2009: "American Museum of Natural History and another Donald Trump Hotel on Central Park West in Manhattan by CNN!!"

Today, I stayed on Central Park West in Manhattan...I rode the bus to the museum and walked the rest of the way to Trump's International Hotel and Casino. It was Sunday and I was too tired from all the previous walking! This museum was the actual museum that Night At The Museum was filmed at. I am telling you from now on n e time I see a movie that is filmed in NYC....I will automatically think to myself, "I was there!" I saw that! or some comment like that! Manhattan is a really old part of NY but is very expensive. It is the equivalent of the French Quarter in Louisiana, really. One of these dinosaurs had a really long neck, so if u see the picture and the neck looks cut off-ha ha--that is why!

New York City Trip: Day #2-01/03/2009: "Subway; Fifth Avenue; Rockefeller Center; Trump Tower; Carngie Hall; and NBC Studios!"

When I saw the NYC Subway, I was just so nervous and excited at the same time because Charles Bronson killed people on the Subway platforms, Crocodile Dundee was filmed on the Subway and it is dangerous on the Subway period! I saw a mouse crawl from out of a hole and go right back in it.. So what they saw about the Subway is RIGHT ON! It is like another project area filled with nasty stuff! When I went to NBC Studios, I was hoping to see Christpher Meloni, Ice-T, and Mariska Hargitay. Some of the cast members of my FAVORITE TV Show on NBC, "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit. The security officer told me that if I wanted to catch them-I would have to come between 5am and 8am. After that they are in NYC filing all out and about! :(

But when I saw the set of "The View"I thought about Rachel because I know that she LOVES that TV Show! Walking on Fifth Avenue is toooooo long-emphasis on "ooooooooo"...You have to walk 5 blocks to make just one mile man! It is crazy and the streets are filled with people who can just pick ur pockets. They can bump into you for no reason except to take ur wallet or whatever! It was weird always putting my wallet in my front pocket of my jeans but better safe than sorry so be extra careful! The cost for the Subway and bus are the same: $2 and for a toll for the bridge is $5. NYC is mad expensive. U need some real hard cash if u wanna live out here!

Donald Trump is a really cool guy. He does not like pictures at all but he can sit down and talk to you like u have been knowing him for years. I happened to talk to him and asked him to say to me, "You're fired!" He did and I Lol. He has his own Nike Store, dinner plates, clothes, dishes, golf clubs, etc. This is a wealthy freaking man! His hotel is so huge and I took a video of it and hurt my back trying to get it all. He really is an amazing man and has a lot of good wisdom esp. when it comes to managing money. I'd buy his books and read them. You'll gain a lot from them and they way the economy is now---u'll need to read them books like NOW!
I wish that was the "REAL" Morgan Freeman and not wax :(

New York City Trip: Day #1-01/02/2009: "Time Square & Manhattan & Central Park"

Today, I arrived in The Big Apple and immediately the FIRST place that I wanted to go was to Time Square because I see it on TV all the time for New Years Eve and since I could not be there on New Years Eve, I wanted to go......I did go to the tourist center though and took some videos and pics of the ball that they drop too! Exciting to see! Central Park was amazing. It is SO big. U would need a map, a park tour guide, and a week to see the entire park. A lot of movies are shot in Central Park and I was there! It was exciting and it was freezing cold as well!

Stake Center Fireside w/Brady!

I met up with my Orem, Utah ex-missionary amigo Brady today at the New Orleans Stake Center in Metairie, La. for a fireside that was BEING held by the Uof Utah football team and their coaches because they are down here for the Sugar Bowl this week! It was great to see Brady again even though I saw him for a few weeks this Summer while I was in Utah. He took a pic of us in his cell phone and I did not bring my camera so I have no pic to post for this event. I was sorry that I did not get to see his son, Brax and wife, Rachel...but there is still time......

"Cadillac Records" Premiere For Me!

Tonight I celebrated being released from the Doctor's care by going out and seeing the new movie that hit theatres last week, "Cadillac Records!" This was a graet movie. I was brought up on the blues era, Etta James, Muddy Waters, and all the jazz musicians. This was the only kind of music htat my parents use to listen to and it has stayed in me. Beyonce did a great job singing all of Etta James's songs. This movie was based on a true story!

....And It Snows.......

in New Orelans, Louisiana!! When my niece called me and left a message on my voicemail this morning an told me that it was snowing in Louisiana-I did not know what to think because the last time in snowed in NOLA was in 2004! I turned the TV to The Weather Channel and there it was for sure, snow flurries/snow (heavy and thick) in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, etc. I logged onto Facebook and all my friend's statuses were all referring to the snow and some even posted videos and photos of them in it! Truly amazing! Wish that I could have been there! Good thing I am in snow every year I go to Utah! That is REAL snow, none the less-December 11th is a day to remember!

First Presidency Christmas Devotional Program

I only wish that I could have been there in Salt Lake City live for the program. I loved the program even though all I got to do was listen to it on my laptop computer. I wish I could have went to the Church to see the program, but I was limited to where I could go. All in all, it was a great program and I love love love Christmas time and the holidays!

General Confrence-Saturday Session I

I have been feeling very ill these last few days sufffering and trying to recover from a very nasty stoamch virus, but I am feeling a lot better now!! I am very thankful to my Heavenly Father for bringing me back to a sustainable and healthly way of life again! ;)

Well, when I went to General Confrence this morning my head and stomach was hurting me- these General Confrences are so long it is easy to fall asleep, but I prevailed! THe Confrence was wonderful and the best speaker out of them all that spoke to us was Sister Alfred. Her testimony really made an impact on my life! I loved it!

I loved that a temple was going to be built in Rome, Italy! That is wonderful!
