Finally Seeing "The A-Team!"

I had not planned on seeing this particular movie, but all the rating and critic reviews seemed to be pointing in a very positive direction, so I decided to go for it. When I buy a movie ticket that costs me $10...I expect to love it and when I pay $5, I do not see it as a terrible loss because it is half the price, but seeing it for 5 instead of 10 was a good idea because I liked the movie very much. I can see why it was 2 and 3rd place 2 weekends in a row. It is very comical, has a lot of action, blasting, bombs, fighting, car explosions. All the elements to make a films a huge success! I really laughed hard at some of the parts with BA and Murdock. They are the characters that made the film funny! The other fellas were funny, but not as funny as those two I just talked about! Go see it! U shall love it and laugh while loving it!!!

Simply Southern Etiquette!!!

I am at the library right now & and I am surrounded by a bunch of idiots! There is one girl whom is in here and is a grown freakin' woman like in her late twenties and she is up in here sucking her damn thumb! That is just crazy! Why do so many dumb grown people go around sucking their thumb like a baby? Then there was a man whom was listening to music videos via YouTube & he was using earphones but everyone in the room could hear him and he had a call coming in and then he answered the phone and he had the audacity to whisper. Geez! People do the craziest crap ever in the South! I always thought that a library was supposed to be a quiet and peaceful place...but in the South, it is not a library....people just be passing gas while surfing the net, talking all loud and on speakerphones all loud, etc. Gosh, it is not even funny anymore...just ridiculous!

"The Karate Kid: The Black Remake"

This was a remake of the original film, but this was a very great remake. Jackie Chan, Taraji P. Henson, and newcomer celebrity, Jaden Smith did a great job. The beginning of the movie was kinda boring and it was taking a long time to get to the climax of the movie. Jaden really has a lot of his father's mannerisms in this film, his persistence in NOT surrendering into the bullies was phenomenal! Some of things/life lessons Chan was teaching Jaden in the movie, you can actually use in real life and some scenes really brought a tear to my eye because it made me realize things in my own personal life and it will do the same to you if you truly open up your heart and really do what Chan was telling Jaden in the movie: "FOCUS!" Will and Jada really need to be very proud of Jaden Smith! He was exquisite! Dynamite!! Explosive! I really loved this movie and it was amazing! Simply brilliant!

New Orleans $aints Practice Sessions/Autogrpahs and Pictures Begin Soon

I found out today that the New Orleans Saints Minicamp was over this past weekend and they were in Metairie, La. practicing and I missed them! :(

They were playing and handing out autographs and all that! Taking pictures with the fans and all of the above, but I called the facility in Metairie and I found out that the REGULAR practicing session will be held next month and I will get a chance to see them practice and take pics and talk to them and all that! I want to take pictures with the following: Reggie Bush, Drew Brees, Garrett Hartley, and Jeff Charleston.

I already recieved an official autograph & talked to Scott Shanle a few months ago @ a signing. I cannot wait! Hopefully they do good and win again! It may be impossible, but I will definitely be getting into football now! I have seen so many shirts, Saints apparel, slippers, jackets, trash cans, posters, flyers, banners, towels, you name it--every store has it! "In Breesus We Trust." I cannot wait for this season to start! BLACK & GOLD!!!

Admiring Apparel 4 Cruise '10

I went to Macy*s today & just looked around @ some of the apparel for men for the summer, but most of the clothes that I saw looked suitable for going on a what am I going on this year? hat's right! A cruise! They had the best silk pants and shorts, and shirt with little palm trees on them and I saw these awesome blazers that would go great and I saw some really awesome sandals! Man, how I do love to dress and stay in fashion! I am getting more excited for the clothes than the actual cruise itself! I am so fortunate to have such good friends who are willing to do this for me. I cannot express how excited n nervous I am at the same time because I do not want mother nature to ruin it for me, I do not want to get seasick, but everyone is telling me that I will be getting seasick! Yuck! I will gladly deal with it because I have never been on a cruise before and I am so looking forward to it!

"Killers" Saturday!

This was a little cute romantic comedy movie. It had TWO of my faviorte actors in it! They really did a good job. I loved the scene where the mother was constantly drinking! Gosh, those scenes were hilaruous! If you see it, you will laugh and love it! I was waiting for months to see this movie and I was not disappointed, but the end was a lot better than the beginning. I kinda did not see what happened at the end with Jen happen, but I kinda suspected that everyone was going to want to kill them! Hence the name, "Killers!" Lol

"Splice" Movie Premiere

To say that this movie was more advertised in theaters and not on TV, because I never saw it being advertised ONCE on the tube, I can see why. It was a very decent movie. I was under the impression that it was going to be a Science Fiction/Horror film--it was more of a suspense/drama type film. There were some unforeseen parts in it that I thought would happen sooner in the movie-rather than @ the end. It was really predictable towards the middle...some parts, I could not see coming, while 90% figured it all out!!! Splice was the right name because everything was getting spliced up in this movie if you see it. I really felt sorry for Dren...I CANNOT believe that they name her after NERD while playing scrabble backwards. Lol! NERD=DREN.

Boyz Sleepover In Destrehan, Louisiana

I had planned on going to see the movie, "Killers"-when all of a sudden Lester texted messaged me & and asked me if I wanted to do the boyz sleepover like we had been talking about for months, so I ditched my movie that I was going to see solo to go spend a night with him and 5 of our others friends in a city that was only a 15 minute drive away from Metairie. It was me, Lester, Brian, Ryan, Shawn,and Troy. We got there at like 9:45pm and did not go to bed until almost 5AM! I have NEVER stayed up that late. We played Family Fued, Scattergories, Guesstures, watched movies and talked about the death of Blanche on Golden Girls! :(

They were all drinking Patron, Bubble Gum wine, wine coolers, and smoking. I did not join in on those activities at all because I do not enjoy drinking and smoking. Never tried it! Never will try it! They all kept askign me too! Not pressuring me, but asking me to try it! So this was how I spent last night! Brian and Lester brought me back home on Saturday, but we stopped off at Shoney's and got some grub then headed to the movie theater to see "Splice."

Birthday Cruise Confirmed & Life Throws Unforseen Instances---

My friend, Todd confirmed that we would be definitely be going on this cruise, now he has changed the destination 2 Mexico instead of Jamaica. There is a lot of turmoil going on in the Caribbean and I just want to have fun but at the same time, have a blast and be very safe and cautious! As far as unforeseen circumstances, I am talking about certain friends in my life. It just seems as no matter how good I am or that I try to be...people just have a problem with how I live my life and act...Half of the people I know whom I keep in touch with tell me that I do not call as much and that I am a true friend to be keeping in touch, while the others say that I bug them too much. It just makes me feel bad and I have no clue as to what do....but I cannot satisfy all of them. What do I do? I pray, try to live correctly, what is going on with them?

Mighty Midnight Madness w/Sex & The City 2 Pre-Screening

I labeled this post with the use of the word, "mighty" because it was just that kind of a night. First, we started out at Copeland's for drinks @ 9PM and yes, I had a coke and that was all, no Jack and Rum/Vodka none of that and we were there until like 10:30PM....after we all were done chillen and enjoying each other's company we headed to the movie theater to get a good seat for the Premiere and we were in there with a huge blank white screen til about 11:10 then random shots came up on the screen and people were cheering when the trailers started coming on and then really dancing and getting excited when the actual movie premiered! You can always expect the unexpected in Louisiana as far as movies are concerned! People will clap and talk back at people in the movie all out loud where it is not even funny! But before the movie even began, I was talking to Brian and all of a sudden I felt pickle juice spill on the back of my head and on my jacket and on Brian as well! We were highly pissed off and if I found out who did that on purpose I would have been going to jail cuz I do not play when it comes to my clothes and jerks just doing immature BS on purpose! I thought that this movie was better than the first one. At times, there are sequels that are better than the original and vice versa! The one ting that was consistent is Samantha's sexual jokes! She was too damn hilarious! I loved the start of this movie because Jay-Z & Alicia Keys "Empire State of Mind" song was in the opening credits and everyone in the theater was clapping and cheering and dancing in their seats! I loved the Morocco/Middle East parts of the movie...I love NYC, but that trip that they took to Abu Dubai was fantastic! There were some crude sexual parts that were too damn funny! It is really good and I will most likely see it again...prolly when it has been out for a while to avoid the intense crowds 'cuz we saw it at the Midnight Pre-Screening!

Travis Sets Sails for Montego Bay 4 My 29th Birthday!

You can't believe it? I cannot believe it!! I do not even have a passport! My friend Todd & I were talking and he threw out and idea to go on a cruise to Jamaica for my Birthday this year! This is huge! I mean I have always wanted to go and do something outrageous and out of my comfort zone and something that I am not use too, but this! I never though in a million years that something like this would ever or could ever happen to me! Seriously! ME on a cruise! Unbelievable! I am still in shock and it has not absorbed in yet! I have always wanted to travel internationally and I have seen people go on cruises in movies, or knowing people personally, but to have this happen to me in mind-blowing! I cannot get over it! No one has EVER done anything this generous for me ever in my entire life! I think that I am just fixated on that concept and that it could happen rather than it is going to be happening! Me to be on a beach with white sand, an water that is really blue and that I can literally see through and that is not brown, polluted,and dirty! That would definitely be a thrill! The entire time I would be thinking about "Titanic." Lol! It just only seems natural! Of course, I would not want the cruise ship to sink, but my head is still spinning at this notion that this might happen! I cannot write any more because I am still in total shock!

Baby Oliver's 1st Birthday & Me Being AWESOME!!!

To make a long blog short, because I am tired.....I sent some baby gifts to Oliver, Ty, and Madison. Today was Oliver's birthday and I sent him some Elmo nightwear and other clothing items and I did the same for the other two kids, Ty and Madison...these kids are very special because I know and respect their parents and I love kids and anytime I go to Utah, I just have to see Brady and Rachel (Madi), Zach and Lisa (Oliver), and Travis and Janelle (Ty). I do not mind shopping for my friend's children. I love doing it. I loved when Lisa told me yesterday that I was tooo nice. I do not do things to impress people, to get respect form them, etc. I do it because as it states in my blog title....this is just in me to be nice and to do for people who are worthy of my friendship and these three couples listed in this blog deserve it and I never look back and regret what I do! I feel so blessed and honored to be able to do what I can do for their kids! Heavenly Father knows my heart and my efforts......even though I do not have it to do, I still do it with joy and most importantly, with love!

"Just Wright" Movie Premiere Night!!!

This movie was simply predictable, I knew from jump street how it was going to end, these always tend to happen in romantic/romantic comedy films. All in all-I loved this movie! Common and Queen Latifah are extraordinary together! I give them two thumbs up or five if I had them! Lol. They had humor and they had serious and real scenes and it is a shame to know that Morgan (character in the film) was acting the way that she was behaving and to know that there are people like that in real life! It is just a shame and don't you think it is so super funny when something happens in a movie and UNEXPECTEDLY, the audience claps because they LOVED what happened. That actually happened in this movie and I was laughing at them, but was clapping inside because clapping in a movie just is...um....not needed..Clapping is needed for a opera or a musical, or a play or when ur on the Red Carpet cheering! Ha! All in all...couples NEED to see this movie, it will not make you cry, but it is TRULY romantic!

The Frontier Final/Tour of Airport v. C'n a Celebrity @ the Airport

Frontier Final Exam: Well, I did not ace it-but I did earn a 93% and was very proud of my achievement! I was working hard ever since Apr. 26th. Which is when training actually began and the class started out with a total of 15 and now there are only 9 of us left! Shocking, huh? But half of the people there cheat and text and do not take it seriously and I will not be apart of that at all...I want to become a Supervisor and I will shone ON MAH OWN! I am asking what needs to be done in order to attain that position.....the other people that they hired are just a hot mess and that is all that I can say for them! We are supposed to help each other out, but I will have a hard time doing that knowing that they are already talking and making fun of other people int he class, texting each other, cheating/not paying attention, asking to go use the restroom to go talk and text! Ridiculous!!!

Tour to the Airport: We took a tour of our Gate at the Airport...it will be C3 and it looks like a cool lil space! We saw the new Dell Computers at the ticket counter stations! Exciting! I am a little bit nervous because I do not want to make any mistakes but both the instructors, Ana and Joy tell me all the time that I am going to do just fine and I need to stop stressing! Lol...I just cannot help it! :(

The Celebrity: Mrs. Alfre Woodard: While touring the Airport, we ran across a famous African-American actress, Alfre Woodard...I love her so very much and Ana and Joy told us that when we are working-we ARE NOT ALLOWED to stalk, leave counters, or run behind celebs because we will see them and we are representing Frontier Airlines. They make a valid point, but still CELEBRITIES....Need I say more? :)

Sandra Bullock Moves to NOLA!

I found out last night that Sandra Bullock has bought a house in Uptown NOLA in the Garden District and is raising her 3 month old adopted son here! She spent her FIRST Mother's Day here! She was spotted in a museum in the French Quarter! This is amazing! I love Sandra Bullock and to know that she lives here, maybe I will be able to see her! I love celebs! Love them to death! This was a picture that was taken when she visited a high school in New Orleans before promoting her movie, "The Blind Side." She is in the top 15 of most richest actresses and she is rich; but as in her personality and what she does for the communities and she is a well-respected person and I love her!! Geaux Sandra!
