Napoleon Parade Rolls On....

The parade today was packed and I had a great time as usual!! Cannot wait til Fat Tuesday!! The beads that this dude was throwing.....I was trying to catch them all!! Good Practice for Mardi Gras!

"Isis Parade" in Metairie

This parade was cool, it was short and only had 21 floats, I did not catch that many beads and cups but hopefully on Fat Tuesday I plan to catch a whole lot more! I had a good time tonight! Kid Rock was the celeb in this parade!

Movie Premiere of "Madea Goes To Jail"

I love Tyler Perry's movies; his plays do not interest me as much as his movies does-but some of his plays he turns into movies! But this movie I saw last night was hysterical! I was laughing so hard last night people would have thought that I was drunk! And I do not drink!

His movies always has a theme and if you pay attention and listen to the words that his cast is saying, you can immediately understand his concept and where he is taking it. His films may b funny but there are parts in all his films that have a deep meaning and that can touch ur heart!

"The Return" of a Legend:ex-Missionary J. Rosenvall

My friend that I had the pleasure of meeting while he was serving a 2-year mission for the LDS Church returned home to Utah today and I called him because I swore to him that I would call him the DAY he got home from his mission! You do NOT know how wonderful it felt to talk to him after he left the Westbank and me many many months ago! He made a tremendous impact on my life and I will never forget him for that or all that he has done for me to help me become a better person and member of the Church! I love him! I am so blessed to have him in my life as a friend and as a constant reminder that God places wonderful people in our lives for varied reasons, whatever the reason was that He sent Jeremy in my life...I THANK HIM EVERY DAY!

Friday The 13th vs. Friday The 13th!

Today is usually a very superstitious day to some people, but NOT for me! In fact, I did a dare! I went and saw the new Friday the 13th remake film tonight and it was more gory and comical than scary. I mean how the people died was funny and the music and effects is what made it funny to me, really!

It rained heavy on and off all day today as a matter of fact and I like when it thunderstomred because that made the movie a lot scarier because scary movies now in this day and age are simply not scary enuf. If I fall asleep or don't jump during a scary movie. It is not horrifying enuf for me!

My friend Brady is the same way-we need GREAT HORROR to scare us and the crime rate is about the only thing that does that for us besides movies! I hate it when people talk and kick my dang seat during a movie! Those are my two pet peeves in a movie theater.

There were two parades today that occurred, but I did not attend n e one of them because I wanted to stand in lien to get a good seat for the movie :(

I will go to some parades next week or even this Sunday. They have become more violent rather than enjoyable! That is y I do NOT attend them as regularly as I use too! Safety comes first!

"President Barack Obama's Inauguration"/Concert Night: Jan. 20th, 2009

I LOVED Tuesday, January 20th, 2009! This will b a day that I will never forget nor will I want to forget. If I ever begin to lose my memory...I hope this is something that I never lose. For the first time in US History, we have an African American President! Wow! When Beyonce sang Etta James' "At Last" song-it bought a tear to my eye! President Obama is doing all that he said he would do if he got into office and every timeI turn the news on he is overturing every bill that ex-President bush made. I just pray that no harm come s to him and that he can be the best 44th President of the US! Hopefully he can hurry up and do somethign about the economic hardships that so many Americans are faced with!!! :( He has the hardest job of all--trying his best to get all of us back on our feet!

Notorious B.I.G Film Chaos!

When me and mah friend, Tanya were at the movie theatre, the ushers made an announcement that we had to wait in line until the people were finished cleaning the screen. As soon as we were about to go to be first in line, these kids just ran in any and every which direction- and mess up the entire line! I called a manager over to attend to the situation and it got resloved because for a movie that I was seeing that costs me $9.50-I want good service Those kids made me so sick-you have no idea!

NYC Season Finale: The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island and Yankee Stadium and Harlem/Brooklyn and The Bronx

On the 8th of January was my last day and I got to see the most beautiful thing in this world. The statue of Liberty! I could not take my eyes of it her! This statue represents so many things to so many different people. I has shivering and not because it was cold. It was great to be on the ferry and go to Ellis and Liberty Islands! The new Yankee Stadium looks great and this store Portabella is where all the NY Yankees shop-they had autographs and everything up in that store!
