The 1st Parade of 2010: "Little Rascals!!!"

First of all, I cannot get that song out of my head that was playing for almost ever single last cheerleading squad that was marching in the parade: BLACK AND GOLD IN THE SUPERBOWL....WE GOIN'...BLACK AND GOLD IN DA SUPERBOWL!! WHO DAT!! WHO DAT!! WHO DAT!! This song had a nice lil beat to it! Ya best believe that I was dancing to it, no drunk-cannot say that for everyone else though! I caught a lil beads and a few cups! It is always nice for me to go to parades, they calm me down and make me forget about any and all problems that I may have in my life....it is a time to just relax and not have a care in the World, but other people take them a little bit to literal and wants to fight, kick, and claw at you for things that they can easily buy at Wal Mart or something. I do not fight for anything! I value my life!! People down here are nuts. NOLA is know for celebrating Mardi Gras season very heavily and people on the floats are at times, either fighting with someone else on the float or someone who gets pissed at them for not throwing them a cup or whatever!! It gets pretty bad and when that happens, you can find me waaaaaaaaaaay across from that drama cuz I aint even in it!

"Edge of Darkness" w/Brian, Les, Shawn, & Jonathan

This was the very FIRST movie that I saw of 2010, and it wasn't a very wise pick! I mean, it had the potential to be great, but there was only one well-named actor and that was Mel Gibson. I mean, the absolute gory parts were very good! I mean, I hate when people get killed, but it makes the movie even better! My friends drove from LaPlace to Metairie to come and pick me up and it was 7 of us total, more people met up with us at the theater and it was fun to be with friends. I love going places with friends instead of solo. The movie got out at 12:50AM and we wanted to do something but they had to drive back to LaPlace and it was almost 1 in the morning so that I understood, completely! I mean, Shawn was trying to fund out what the movie was about on his iPhone and Les was not following it at all and Jonathan was falling asleep and left out the theater to go and get some hot peppers to force himself to stay wake! Too funny, eh? I was laughing because when he came back into the theater, he missed the row that we were sitting on and we all laughed uncontrollably and that is the main reason I hate leaving out too because it is so dark in there and u missed where u were sitting @! But, all in all, it was a great night and I loved the outing!

It's Complicated with $haquetta

I went to see "It's Complicated" for the second time and man Shaquetta was shouting and laughing hysterically so loud and I was, for the most part, laughing @ her laughing because she was out of control! It was funny as heck! After the movie was over, we went into the "Tooth Fairy" movie and stayed in there for a few minutes...then after that we went to her PO Box so she could check her mail and then we went to Baskin Robbins because had to place and order for a Birthday cake for her father then we went to the Hallmark Store and picked out some Cards for him. I was running errands with her, it was great to just get out of the house! And that was mah day!

Playing Laser Tag

I had never been playing Laser Tag a day in mah life, we do have laser tag here in Louisiana, but I never went. It was fun...they had it set up just like a Modern Warfare game on XBOX or something. It was like $5 for 15 minutes and we had all the rules that we had to obey. For someone who never played this game, I did quite well. It was me, Andrew, Judd, Kurtis, and Ryan. It was the Red v. The Blue. I took one picture of us in the car on the ride back home and yes.....it was cold this night too!! Lol

I finally got to see "Sherlock Holmes" @ the Edwards Theater with Greg Jensen. He loves Taco Bell!! I mean he loves it like I love going to the movies and Popeye's Chicken! Lol! We ate there before going to the show in Idaho Falls, Idaho! It was really neat at the movie theater...I forgot to take my camera in to take pics, but the actual theater looked like a carnival or a child's bedroom. They had elephants and all types of animals painted on the wall. I was starting to wonder if we were here to see the Lion King or something ! Lol! I still had a great time with my NATO! Love ya bro!

Keep in mind that I had NEVER been tubing a day before in my entire life and I just recently found out about tubing and what it entailed and all the sports that I had heard of scared me to death, but I really had a fun time tubing! We drove the 3-wheelers out there and it was intense because I was riding on the back and I was thinking that I was going to fall off because when you are riding on the back, esp on the back and when ur going up a hill and the bike cannot pull with anymore force, it is scary and you fall off....but getting in the tubes and rolling down the sand dunes was great! Great! Great! I loved it! I really loved it! I want to do it again...I did not go a lot of times, but now I wish that I would have taken full advantage of it! It is great to break out of my comfort zone/shell and try something new. I really wanted to go skiing and snowmobiling, but taking one fun and exciting thing at time, huh?

"Avatar 3D" vs. "It's Complicated"

The Avatar 3D Experience: This movie that I finally got to see this past Saturday was a big flop and my head actually started to hurt and I kept on silently wishing, hoping, and praying that it would end. I so wanted to walk out but I did not! Why? I think I just like wearing the 3D glasses even tho I aint see nothing that was in 3D! I would best describe this film as a "blue love story." Blue because that was the color of the damn Avatars, not in reference to blue as in sad or music! Lol! I can see why the majority of people loved it, but at the same time I can see why the other half hated it! It had all the elements to be a good movie, but at the same time just because James Cameron directed it-YOU DO NOT GO TO SEE A MOVIE BECAUSE OF A DIRECTOR OR WHO IS IN IT!!

It's Complicated Experience: This movie was very good, I was shocked that this film was not #1, among all of them that was coming out in December....like the infamous Sherlock Holmes. I was just upset and pissed off at how the movie ended...I am like this-if a movie is having a plot where there are complications, maybe in the end of the movie, the directors can at least post on the screen what happens, or who rectified the situation, but to just have it end...period....nothing...no information hurts the rating that I was going to give it of 2 thumbs up to nothing! Overall, this was a great film and I would want to see it again....there were definitely a lot of things that were complicated in this movie and it had the perfect title!

I took the liberty of making some good Southern classic food, Seafood Gumbo-me and Judd went to THREE different stores and none of them had certain ingredients that I needed in order to the Gumbo the good old fashioned way that we make it in the South....so I had to substitute some things. It still came out great and preparing it was so much fun-I let everyone do a lil some thing so that we could interact with each other so that I could get to know them just a little bit better! And it worked. Laken was in charge of washing off the raw and uncooked chicken. She was acting insane saying that she could not touch it, stab it, or poke at it! I was laughing so hard that I had to run to the bathroom and splash some water on mah face and my eyes were blood red and no onions were even in sight! I made some potato salad as well and they loved it....I mean everyone ate it all up and after that we took some thug pics and as you can see Alissa got the thug look down to a science...She must have been practicing before I got up here...if not, that girl is a natural...she can be the next 'Lil Noonie!! Lol
