"Young and The Restless in NOLA Debuts!"

This week Monday began the episodes of the TV Soap Opera, "The Young and the Restless" that I have been watching since I was young-like the age of 6 or or something......

On Monday, November 29th was the first day that it debuted...New Orleans scenes will be on the air all this entire week until December 3rd. But on Monday they debuted the Jazz Funeral Scene and that was the scene that I actually saw them film right there in the cemetery with my own eyes and I began to shed some tears when I saw the scene and also because I was reminded of some of my Aunts and Uncles that died this past year and the one relative that died during Hurricane Katrina in '05.

That is why I chose this picture for this particular posting! Two other actors are not in this picture, but I do have pics with them in my older blog posting entitled, "Tinseltown...Travis!" It was just unreal to see it on TV and in real life. I know that a lot of people were jealous that I had and always have the opportunity to meet famous celebrities. I have no idea why-but that is people and their feelings, but seeing that scene made me happy and blessed that I got to meet them and witness what I did! :)

The Holidays Are Approaching

For some strange reason, I love the cold and the snow and the holidays. Sometimes, the mere thought of seeing family & friends shopping, and talking together, or even looking and buying presents and wrapping presents together or alone, trimming the Christmas tree...I miss all of that. I do not have anyone to do anything for me for Christmas, my family is kinda not the typical jolly and fun-loving family, it is all busted up and no one gets along with no one, so I kind of feel comforted when I see people in the mall laughing together, shopping, and just spending time together, I do not have any friends here in LA. to even do that much with. Being alone kind of sucks, but I find a way to deal with it. People whom I thought were my friends turned out to suck and abandoned me when I wanted/needed them. Venting about my feelings really makes me feel more sad--but at least I am not holding onto the pain and keeping quiet. I am always happy to know when certain friends will be coming to town and want to see me; that always makes me feel good. I have 4 couples of friends whom I would buy something for and would do anything for and they are the Bybees', Hancock's, Collins, and the Spencer's. I still do love Christmas and the entire month of December because it was Christ birthday and it needs to be celebrated, not by gifts or material things-but just by love, laughter, prayer, and togetherness....in my opinion...Regardless of how I may be feeling at this time-it will never take away the love that I have for the season and how much I enjoy it ever year!

Black Friday Madness 2010...Geaux Shopping--Again!!

I was hearing all week all over the news and radio that places would be opening up at 3 and 4AM and trust me-I was not one of the customers out there at that time in the morning! I know that stores need the income and money, but as cold as it was, do u think I was waiting outside in a line...Get real! I went out there at 1PM, where all I could do was walk in and if I missed great sales because I had to be there before the sun was out...TOO DAMN BAD! I got me a Sony Viao notebook form Best Buy, and then I go some colognes that I have been wanting for a long time that was out like: Euphoria, Bleu de Chanel, Hugo Boss, Yves Saint Laurent, Tous, and that was it....then I got me every color that they had EXCEPT purple in 100% Cashmere Sweaters and some Extra Fine Merino Wool sweaters a well, a Kenneth Cole Wool jacket and a waterproof one...at prices like that-I could not help myself.....and that was all and charged it all on my Macy's Card...so I can pay it back in steps....it all cost less than $500, so I did not go anywhere near my limit...things were so so so cheap that it could not be passed up. I love fashion, love to stay looking fresh, and smelling good so thank you Black Friday! I'm done! Wait until after Christmas--as the Terminator would say, "I'll be back!" Lol

HAPPY THANKSGIVING: 2010 GAME #11: DA BLACK N GOLD vs. COWBOYS

Well, this year, Thanksgiving was NOT memorable...Me and my father went to The Treasure Chest Casino and watched the Saints Game and yes, the Saints won! The Final Score was 30-27. The 1st & 2nd Qtr.'s the Saints were on a roll and the Cowboys had a score of 0 at the end of the First Qtr and finally made a 3-point field goal kick in the middle of the 2nd Qtr. We did not have the traditional meal for thanksgiving like a turkey and all that because it was just the two of us, so we made a lil meal that I cooked just for the two of us...since I saw the movie, "Burlesque" last night kinda as a Pre-Thanksgiving movie, I did not go tonight because movies are very costly. Before we did go to the Casino, I had to work form 4am-12Noon and that was time in a half because today is a national holiday so that is more money for me! Yay! But once I get the cash, it will go all on bills and not me though! So sad....

A "Burlesque" Night!!!

This was not the typical musical movie like Dreamgirls or Hairspray for the simple fact that the cast did NOT sing their lines and performed on a stage. In this movie, they performed on the stage and there were regular speaking lines. Cher did an outstanding performance and she made few jokes in the film as well to balance it all out. Aguilera really made a great debut into the film industry in doing this role. She really captured the audience because people in the theater were actually applauding her! Once again, the economy was placed in this movie in regards to Tess and her Burlesque Club. I tell you-the economic state is in crisis if it is in a damn musical film, eh? The dancing.....the style....the moves.....the romance....the drama....this was the best movie I could have picked to see Pre-Thanksgiving 2010! So get 'yo ass out there and see how you "Burlesque!" :)

2010 GAME #10: World Champz vs. Seahawks

This game was grrrreat!! I mean Marques Colston made two touchdowns, Robert Meachem made two as well and Chris Ivory made one by jumping over a crowd of players! Lol...Scott Shanle intercepted the ball in the 4th Qtr. and it was amazing! I was looking at my pics with all of them on my iPod and thinking that I was this close to them, I met them, I talked to them! Oh, man it was a wonderful feeling and a wonderful win of a Final Score: 34-19!

"The Next Three Days" for A Great 2-Hour Film!!!

First off, whomever did Bank's hair in the beginning of this movie, needs to be shot because it was revealed to me that she had on a wig on top of her brown hair because pieces of it was shown! Bad! Next, this movie was, what I thought to be action-packed from the previews and since it had Academy Award Winner, R. Crowe in it-I thought it would be good...boy was I incorrect.....I mean the plot was good, just maybe more pursuits and action was needed in order for me to give it a much better rating or maybe different actors...the movie was weak and had a very slow and lacking "action." The last hour of it was the best, the car and high speed chases, the subway scene, the escape, the killing and getting shot parts.....that is what should've been shown throughout the entire film-in my opinion. I mean, yes, you can have dull parts through the entire movie-but even with some action & suspense that will keep the audience intrigued, at least. If you do not drift asleep-you can see why the movie is called what it is called...

The New Orleans Saints Punter, Thomas Morstead was the special guest for the Radio Show @ Hooters tonight! It was great seeing him...it has been so cool getting to meet and greet a different Saints Player every Thursday at Hooters and at other places as well! Great blessing! Thomas was such an amazing, cool, and way to super damn nice guy--I took my picture with him and at the end of the Radio Show, I was selected and won a bottle of Crown Royal liquor, but I told the host that I do not drink at all and they gave me a signed hat from Morstead and a Ice Cooler! I was so way excited to win, not only one gift-but two! Simply amazing! After I turned down the alcohol, all the people at Hooters were screaming that they wanted the liquor and the man said that he had to draw another name, I could not randomly pick someone! Lol

The "Unstoppable" Train Night!

This was a suspenseful movie & it was not predictable @ all...to me, at least...I thought that all the kids on the bus would die, and one of the two major characters Frank or Will would die and I was wrong on all 2 characters counts! It really was action-packed up until the end! Denzel Washington really made a few jokes during the film, but he was great in this movie! Denzel is the man and so was Chris Pine! They made a great team in the movie and for the making of the movie! :)

Watching The "Morning Glory" Premiere!!!

To say that this movie was broadcasted quite frequently & had an well-known cast-it was very plain.....I mean the 50 Cent scene and a few other scenes were too funny while other parts made me just chuckle-it was not very good! The preview was better than the movie, to be perfectly honest! I thought after the funny scene towards the middle of the movie-it would get better, but it just stayed plain and just for elderly people!

2010 GAME #9: World Champz vs. The Panthers....Again...

We nailed this game! I mean, our Kicker-Garrett Hartley was kicking those field goals kicks, Drew did NOT throw any interceptions...this game as rad....outrageous...dynamic....too awesome! We defeated them, when we played them before, we barely won by a score of 16-14; but when we played them today, we had a final score of 34-3! 34-3~I just had to write and say it to mahself twice! Simply amazing!! Amazing! Wonderful! We may just have a chance at winning the Superbowl TWO years in a row and if that happens, I will be celebrating in another city because they will tear this place up and I do not wanna be here for that! Lol! Good job Saints!!

Rushing 4 The "Due Date" Opening

First off, they showed all of the good parts 4 this movie in the previews! NOT FAIR! Every time I recognized a part that I saw in the previews I started to laugh early! Lol! Zach G. made the movie.. Robert Downey Jr. was funny as well, but Zach G. made me laugh so damn hard, my eyes were red and on fire burning..it is amazing @ how the dumbest and simplest things people do in comedy movies can make you laugh hysterically! This movie was funny, but it was not funny as I thought it would be like when I saw "Grown Ups." But all in all-it was good..they had some crude/sexual humor, but it was shocking and yet funny @ the same time! See it! You'll love it!

"For Colored Girls" Movie Opening Premiere

Granted, this movie has some very deep and emotional and depressing parts, it is still a great movie! With an all-star cast! Loretta Devine will make you laugh...every scene that she is in-YOU SHALL LOL!! Tyler Perry did his thing when he made this movie! And it is made for both sexes, NOT just colored women or women in general. It shows how both colored men and women BEHAVE in today's society and the poems that the 7 women were sharing throughout the film was touching and it made me think and reflect on my own life in some ways. It shows how many stereotypical PEOPLE are in the world and how they accuse people of either being or acting a certain way because of their skin color. It is deep and really really good! I am glad that I saw this movie! Really glad! It will touch your heart, certain parts will make you laugh, and even more parts can make you REFLECT!

Michelle Stafford as Phyllis Summers and Trav

Joshua Morrow as Nick Newman and Me!

Today was an AWESOME DAY! The Daytime Soap Opera that I have watched for a number of years like 10+ years came to New Orleans to film. They have been here all week! Filming in the French Quarter and luxury hotels, cemeteries, etc. I was following two celebs from the show tweets on their Twitter accounts-but for the first couple of days, I kept on missing them once I had found out where they were shooting...but then on today I found out exactly were they were going to be and I hunted them down and got photos with ALL five of them! I felt like I was a part of the show-seeing them live and in front of me was so unreal! I wanted to just talk their heads off about the characters that they play and all that! I would never stop talking, but I did talk to them and they all were very nice and extremely down to Earth. Christian Jules LeBlanc is from here so he knows how the South all loves "The Young and the Restless!" I caught them by Lafayette Cemetery in Uptown NOLA! I watched them shoot some scenes and it was unreal! WOW! I am still super-excited and cannot stop thinking that I see these people on TV all the time, but to be there standing beside them, touching them, hugging them, wow..I am just speechless that I actually did that! The actor, Michael Muhney told me that he knew who I was because I kept "tweeting" him wanting to know his location because I wanted to meet him and the cast so bad...it was amazing how kind he is knowing he plays a terrible and dehumanizing role! Lol! I can go on an blog forever on this....
