2010 GAME #5: Saints vs. Cardinals

To put put in plain and simple English...the Cardinals had so many interceptions and they had less fumbles and put a serious beating on the Saints! The Saints got their butts whupped! ALL CAPS! I was so upset...but I did not allow mahself to get excited when they got in the lead because they are always getting beat and barely winning! Carney missed a field goal kick, Colston was missing some balls and so was Shockey...the were not united as a team, they struggled and did not give it their all! The lost in the Dome and now they are losing at away games! I can only imagine how Brees is feeling about these last two losses! The final score was 30-20! Do you know how embarrassing that is and to say the Saints won the Superbowl last year? I think that they are letting that win get to their heads and they are not focusing? Drew needs to get off TV and all the cameo appearances and practice!! GEAUX PRACTICE!

The Chosen B'day Film-"My Soul 2 Take 3D" Opening Night

For my Birthday (IT FELL ON A FRIDAY IN OCTOBER AND A HORROR FILM WAS OPENING UP TODAY--IT WAS LIKE A BLESSING 4 ME), I had several films to choose from...there was either this or "Life As We know It" or "Stone" or "Buried." I chose this one, NOT because it was being offered in 3D formatting-but because I love horror movies and today is my Birthday & it is October. I felt that it would be only appropriate to see this film. Don't get me wrong, I will see the other movies I mentioned! :)

The thing that really upset me was the fact that the movie theater told us that 3D was the ONLY format for this film. 3D is very costly and they want us to keep 3D green by recycling the glasses and the price is $13/per guest. So we were really upset when they were NOT offering it in 2D (regular formatting...). I THINK they did that because most patrons are complaining about having to pay such a high price & are not seeing anything 3D in the films nowadays-so the theatres may be only offering 3D formatting movies instead of just giving us the choice of 2 or 3D. Nope, it is not fair and in this tough economy-no one wants to help @ all..

But getting to how I thought the movie was...for this movie here-I did not see one 3D image even in the preview, so I was going to see it in 3d, but--This was actually like watching a repeat of "Seed of Chucky" seriously! This was like a horror comedy rather than a death heart stopping thriller! There was NO suspense, NO 3D (we had to see it in this because 2D was not offered)! This was a teen slasher film. The killing was pretty brutal in certain scenes & somewhat gory imagery. I was laughing a lot and that is not good in a horror film to be perfectly honest with you! This movie was designed for teenagers. This was not a horror film to fit all ages. I was very disappointed! The previews are the only parts where you needed the 3D glasses...sad....very sad....

A Birthday Gift!

Well, I received a lot of gifts today and more are on the way-just going to be a little delayed...this year I got more gifts than anything to be perfectly honest. I was so so so impressed with all my friends that were telling me I was the bomb! An awesome guy! I loved all the positive comments and feedback that I was receiving. All day, I was just hanging out enjoying the day with my mother and going to Raising Cane's for lunch and getting my hair cut so I could look good for going out with my friends tonight!

Afterwards, I ed getting ready at 7 and me along with Lester, Shawn, and Brian all went to Chilis and we had a long wait until a table became available to us! Meanwhile, while just chillen outside a black man approached almost every person in the parking lot and asked if we would buy his gold watch so he could get his car towed because he had broke down...down the street at a gas station! We all looked at him like, "What?!" LOL

His watch was like a cheap imitation gold watch-if anyone knows about fashion, yes, it would be me. It was not even a Omega nor a Rolex! So we ate and I got the Steak with potatoes. Next, we headed 2 The Palace Theater saw "My Soul to Take" and the review of this is in the above mentioned post. Once the movie ended, it was about 12 Midnight & he headed to Destrehan, La. which is like 10 minutes away and we slept over at Shawn's place....Lester had forgotten the games- so we changed into our PJ's and watched Scream: Part I and stated to all agree that it was getting too late and so we all fell asleep! And this was how I spent my Birthday! I got $$$, cards, phone calls/texts/ lots of love/ clothes/DVD's....it was AWESOME!

I found out on the radio last week that every Thursday from 6-7 the local Radio Station gives live interviews with local Saints players and they mingle with the fans afterwards and autograph...so now I am going just to meet them, but Drew Brees and Lance Moore was already there and I missed them! I hate that so much! They are the main ones I want! But today was my first time ever at Hooters and I saw those uniforms that the girls had to wear and I did not like them at all. Hooters is NOT place for me, but I will go there for the Saints players! Also, we heard on the news while we were there that this lady in Arizona super glued her eyes shut because she thought that it was her prescription eye drops. That was sad-but everyone was crying laughing and I have to admit that I was also....I mean, I hope that she is okay-but in the moment, I was laughing as well. I also got Law and Order: SVU, Season #12 on DVD from my gal, Joanna and I got some clothes from Shawna who works at Macy's. I got two gifts early. Today was a great day...

2010 GAME #4: The Who Datz vs. The Panthers!

The Panthers look rough in this picture, and in my honest opinion...it was a very close game! Close as in last week's also. The Field Goal kick is what saved the Saints in the score of 16-14. The Saints are not scoring as many touchdowns to put them way in the lead and are using field goal kicks! They need a huge damn win like 23-12; or 30-12...All these 16-14; 25-23...that is too close! I am glad they won but so many players got injured and so many balls were missed.......Drew Brees was throwing was awesome and direct to so many players but they missed them! Every time they missed the people were like screaming and getting very upset! But between quarters, they play loud music and dance and throw out beads and hats, & T-Shirtz...they had these 2 old ladies who were dancing and it was so hilarious! You should have been there!! To say that they were the Champs...that was last year and this is this year! They need to step it up! FAST! The Kicker, Garrett Hartley was not in uniform today and he was replaced-he needed to be on the sidelines and just observe and focus and recharge because he has missed too many kicks! Seems like last year should be this year!

Is Something Really "Tooo" Good 2 B True?!?!

Something very monumental happened to me tonight....I was text messaging my friend Todd who live in Arizona-and he was telling me that he has a total of 5 different jobs that he has currently and he is also going to school for his Masters degree and in tow months he is going to be or well he is now preparing to buy a house and he--TONIGHT suggested and really wants badly for me to take him up on his offer to move to AZ. with him and some of his friends in the house they are buying. I told him that things are kind of hard for me right now, definitely financially and he told me that he does NOT mind hosting for me. I am NOT the type of person to just go and "lay up" on someone...and not be able to pitch in with the bills around the house. He told me that is things so the way that he expects them to go I will have a stable job working for him. No matter what scenario that I have given to him, he had a logical answer..I said what about furniture and a bed? He said his parents can give us stuff...as I titles my blog...what do u think about this? Too good to be true? I do not like to go any place without any money and just to pick up and move to AZ. with nothing? I am not sure and also, someone also told me that if you never take chances, you never know what may have been? I am so confused by this!!!! I am going to ponder and really pray on this!!!

What Is Wrong With "Case 39?" Opening Night

The previews did it to me again---looked great; but the movie sucked. It was weak and very plain and original. Rene did not have the spark in her to say that she was the lead actress in the film. Nothing in the film scared me at all. I mean you see the same things in this movie as you see in so many others---someone behind you, a screeching door, all the usual things made to scare you! Very few scenes made me jump and be highly scared in this movie. It was kind of like watching "Orphan" all over again and the scene with Bradley Cooper looked so staged. It did not look authentic at all! :(

Birthday Secrets....I Can't Handle Them! LOL

I have had all of my friends either called or text messaged me and told me that they have a gift for me that I will love...a gift for me I will need...money, cards, etc. but they are so secretive! If u are not going to tell me-why entice me? I mean, I love my birthday, not the getting older part, but the fun, the calls, and the gifts, but I hate the surprises because I have to be in anxiety mode until I receive them and then all my friends lie and say they did not get me anything and I get exactly what I asked for! Lol! That is why I hate birthdays if they are mine-the keeping me in the dark, that is the element, but I cannot take it though! Lol! I mean, this year is going to be a good birthday for me, I feel it-like no other, but I have to wait and see....

Well today I got my Driver's License renewed and it does not expire until my Birthday in 2014...when I see years like that I never in my wildest imagination that I would even be alive! Lol! I count my blessings every day that I am able to see another day! I also got my haircut and I was feeling good so I decided to take a few pics of my own! I love taking pics! I am not a photographer, but I do play around and take some shots! :-)

Interesting. I bet bankers and financial advisers could love this movie! Lol! They had a lot of the stock market/Wall Str./Math stuff in this movie-but overall, it was good..it had some mystery, some drama/complications, deception, and some romance. All good elements to make a movie a huge success! I HATED the way it ended though. I really loved the motorcycle scene with Shia....Douglas made some really good interesting points in the scene where he was lecturing to the kids about money and the economy. I think in today's downfall, everyone should at least see and listen to that scene! Really!

2010 GAME #3: World Champs vs. ATL Falcons Game

I had to write this posting in blue because I am sad, still sad...at today's events in the game against ATL in our turf! Our dome! Our home! It was a very brutal and intense game! 27-24 (we lost by two and Hartley) I have no idea what was happening because one minute we were in the lead and then the next we were out of the lead, then we had a touchdown-then we were on the bottom again! I think I went bipolar after today! Lol! Drew Brees had TWO interceptions and was tackled as well...he just did not do good at all today! Lance Moore and Jeremy Shockey did the best today! They were the ones who were catching those balls and putting us in the lead! They did their job! What I was mostly pissed off about was our field goal kicker, Garrett Hartley who loves to go to Hooters! I think he needs to hoot his behind to the practice field an find out why his kicks are not awesome as they were last season! He missed two field goal kicks in the first game and then he redeemed himself the last game! Now, the third game he missed the damn field goal kick that cold make us win! It is like one roller coaster ride! I was so nervous, I could not even breaks a sweat or drink or even get up to go to the restroom! It was pure nerve-racking!

Travis In Movies?!?!? Itz a Possibly!!

Well, today I went on NOLA.com's website & they had a ton of films starring Zac Efron, Liam Neeson, Rihanna, Matthew McC (however u spell his complicated last name), and many more! I sent out my resume and attached my own picture to really make myself known that I want to do this. Maybe this the the break that I have been waiting for! I love movies and everyone knows that about me! I was so eager sending my information to these casting directors and extras...no matter what part I plat-a non-speaking role or an extra, one line or two just to be on the set of a film and it be in it is all u need to be noticed and to have that experience is wonderful! I am so excited, if I do not hear back from anyone, at least I can say that I gave it a shot!

2010 GAME #2 @ Treasure Chest Casino: WHO DAT vs. 49ers

I went to Treasure Chest Casino tonight and watched the game there because this year I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and learn and try new things. I am not saying that I am obsessed with gambling and casinos-I just want to go different places and experience loud surrounding areas and see the fans! Life is too short & I want to be able to say well I did this or I did that. This game was pure hell for me...I always tend to assume that the Saints will win whenever they are in the lead and boy was I so wrong about that tonight in the 4th Quarter when they tied 22-22! I was like please do not go into overtime because I was at the Casino form 7:45-10:40 AND I was itching to go home! Lol! Garrett Hartley kicked us from 19 to 22 and then from 22 to 25 for the win! He definitely made up for his last two missed field goal kicks in the first game! I can tell you that much! It was rather interesting in watching the games at the casino. I was on the Upper Deck and it was awesome! I mean a lot of people were smoking so I went to the third level and it was cool and mellow up there. Hardly, no one was on the third level. That is probably because it is NO SMOKING! I should have brought a jacket with me know because I was freezing! I felt as if I was on Titanic or something because there were TV's all over and from all different angles available for fans to cheer and yell to watch the game! It was very exciting! I may have to do that more often rather than watch all of them at home. I am glad and proud of the final score of 25-22!!

Travis Takes "The Town" Premiere Night

I thought that this movie was going to be like the old movie, "Set It Off" & it was but only with a little twist. This movie had minimal jokes, which were funny, vulgar language as in "The Departed" and the gore was not brutal, but it was on-screen killings as in so many other brutal films and it was great! The high and very intense car speed chases and the killings were perfection! This movie was very good from start to finish. There was one scene in the movie where every one in the entire theater laughed their asses off and it is the part where a cop spots the "four nuns" and he is just looking at them in SHOCK! Unforgettable! Sensational! It was funny as hell! I love good action movies that have a few jokes in them. This was a great Crime/Gangster movies like "We Own The Night" and other movies like that! I loved it and I will buy it on DVD!

Is There A "Devil" In All Elevators Opening

The plot was good to say that this film had no well-named actors in it-but every time the screen went dark & black that seemed like great parts in the movie, but I hated it because we could not see what was happening. I mean, it was scary hearing them all scream, but I think that seeing the gore that the Devil was exhibiting would have been greater if we would have seen it on screen. I was pretty shocked to see which person was the Devil. I thought it was a certain person, but I was wrong...but when the Devil attacked and was noticed, I jumped but a lot of people in the theater was screaming so loud behind me that it was super funny! Lol! I seriously think that this film will be in the lower 10 Opening Weekend-rating @ like between 5th or 8th place.
