This movie was all about Adam Sandler in two perspectives: one was that he was the main character in the movie and two, the jokes that he made in the movie was hilarious. I sincerely felt like Jennifer Aniston was just laughing at his jokes in the movie because she was getting paid to and two, dammit—they really were funny as hell. The coconut scene with Nicole Kidman & Jennifer Aniston was funny. I predicted the ending because I read that there was a shocking twist and in a predictable romantic comedy movie such as this one, it was easy for me to see what the end result was going to be after seeing certain scenes and piecing it together. The kids were funny in this movie, truly gifted. I do not know why, lately, Jennifer Aniston movies are flops, but if this movie makes it #1 or in the Top 5…it is because of Adam Sandler. Given, Aniston did make a few clever remarks and did a few minimal things to make me laugh, Adam outdid her. Sorry Jen! This was a movie to make you laugh and I really enjoyed watching it…even if Jennifer co-starred….and the few plastic surgery patients that visited Sandler & Aniston were kicks!!!

Filming HBO TV Series--"Treme: Season #2"
Well, today I was filming at Betsy's Pancake House on Canal Str. and it was only a short little 2 page scene starring, Actress Melissa Leo....Treme is basically a TV show set in New Orleans in a neighborhood called, Treme. It is a historical and Jazz/musical type show that caters more toward the background an historical places surrounding the city. The show got renewed for a second season and is currently filming. I arrived onto the set for 1:30pm, even though my regular call time was for 2:30pm, but they needed people in a hurry. I filled out the non-union voucher and I-9 forms in order to get paid and then we proceeded to the set where real food was placed at certain tables and along the bar to all the background patrons and the really odd things was that we had to take little bites and nibbles off of the food so that it could last us for the entire filming and the food was starring to go cold that when that happened, we had to really "pretend" to eat it. Everyone was agreeing that we should have been allowed to eat at least half of the food and by the time that the filming was successfully completed, the Diner had to throw away all of that good food. I do NOT NOT NOT think that was right, esp. not in this ROUGH ROUGH ROUGH economy!

"My 'Contraband' Filming Experience": ON SET! TAKE ONE!
Actress Kate Beckinsale I Worked WithToday was my first day on the set of the upcoming 2012 suspense/thriller, “Contraband” starring Academy Award Nominee, Mark Walberg, Kate Beckinsale, Ben Foster, & Giovanni Ribisi. The scene was shot in Algiers Point in New Orleans, LA. When I initially arrived to Extras Holding, I had to fill out paperwork and then they told us that there was some catered food in the back if we wanted to grab some stuff before going onto the actual set. After an hour, wardrobe called people up in groups to check to see if what we were wearing matched the atmosphere they had set up for us and if we had to change, etc. Also, we had to stand in a line and the wardrobe consultants did a final check to see if we all looked appropriate and they took pictures of all of us in groups of 6 before heading to the set. What I was wearing, about 4 or 5 different wardrobe consultants were complimenting me on how great I looked and that for the entire time we were filming-they told me that I did not need to be freshened up! The scenes that we were shooting were focused on Lukas Haas from Inception because it was a wedding reception @ a local pub.
It was a very small and crowded pub, but once the AP’s and other crew members started to issue certain extras some directions it worked out just perfectly. Some extras were standing up by the bar and we had to pretend to order drinks and not look too stiff and like statues and to have a good time while others were sitting on bar stools at the bar….the bride and her groom, which was Actor Luke Haas just had to mingle and dance and walk around while everyone congratulated them on their marriage. So, for the first few hours that was how it was….they had a band playing a song and the people at the bar were dancing and moving around and the other extras sitting at tables on the other side of the pub were talking quietly amongst themselves, etc. just as you would see at any wedding reception.
Now, here is the absolute astounding part: Ben Foster, Mark Wahlberg, and Kate Beckinsale joined in on the dancing after the 4th take because the 30 people who were selected to dance had to practice before they started doing it for real. I was not one of the dancers; I was assigned to be at the bar. But I was clapping as they instructed us to do and just moving around having a good time. But Ben Foster was hilarious as can be! He was moving around and shaking his butt all over the place with beer in his hand (the beverages we were drinking were Ginger Ale in champagne glasses and water in beer longneck bottles). Lol!
Throughout the night, after we shot a certain scene for about 5 or 6 times, we were all instructed to go get back on the bus while the crew adjusted the cameras and was getting set up for another scene and we would be warm on the bus until then and they did have coffee, tea, coco, king cake, and snacks for us until dinner time which was @ 9p-9:30p. We would literally be on the bus for less than 5 minutes before they called us to go back in the pub and the crew people laughed and apologized to us because they thought it was funny that by the time we got settled on the warm bus, it was time to go back into the pub again!
Something else that was remarkable to me—the 4 actors that we were filming with: Mark Wahlberg, Kate Beckinsale, Ben Foster, and Lukas Haas were mingling and chatting to almost everyone in the pub between takes and they all were so kind and funny. Here are my experiences with them and what happened: w/Mark Wahlberg-I showed him the photo that we took together a few weeks ago was on my Credit Card and he said that was beautiful and when was I going to buy him something! I told him that I would buy him anything because I am a HUGE fan of his and I also told him on a serious note that I hope “The Fighter” wins for the Best Picture at the Oscars!
He told me “thank you man, I appreciate that!” I also said that he and Christian Bale did an outstanding job and he gave me a high five and keep in mind that his co-star Ben Foster was standing right by me so I talked with him as well, and I also told Mark that I loved his work in Max Payne, The Departed, Shooter, and The Italian Job, and that I have almost all his films and his eyes opened up & then he told me that I needed to get Ben’s films and he asked what movies do I have for Ben? I told him that I have Alpha Dog and I just saw The Mechanic in theatres and Ben said, “Well you know Travis—things go poof in the big screen, things blow up bro!” Amazing, huh?
Ben is just too funny and down to Earth just as Mark and Kate. Ben and Mark were talking to me like we have been friends for years. I was so nervous, but excited at the same time! I did not recognize Kate Beckinsale at first because she is now a blonde! I did not get to talk to her for very long; all I got to tell her was that she is a beautiful actress and that she was amazing in Underworld and Vacancy. She said with her London accent, “Hi there…thank you so much and thanks for being here to help us tonight.” I then went on to tell her that my friend, Brandon is a huge fan of hers as well and she said to tell him thanks for his support! She was extremely sweet! The actor, Giovanni Ribisi was not present for the scenes we shot on Friday. Lukas Haas came by me and hugged me and shook my hand for about 6 times for one scene that will be in the movie when the extras at the bar were congratulating him and his bride on getting married!
When we were not shooting, I chatted with him & I told him that I loved him in Inception and that I would make my comment to him quick because we were instructed not to talk to the celebs and he tapped me on my knee and said, “Don’t worry about them-let’s talk bro!” I was completely speechless! Look for that scene in March of 2012! At about 1AM, there was a scene involving Mark & Ben where they would get on stage and sing a song to the Bride and Groom (Lukas Haas) and it was funny…that was the last scene of the night….All in all, Feb. 4th, 2011 was a spectacular night and I feel really blessed to have worked closely with Mark Wahlberg—Ben Foster---Kate Beckinsale---and Lukas Haas!

I Was Wronged...by....."The Rite!" Just Tonight
Nuns smoking in cars and priests answering cell phones while trying to extract the Devil out of people! Who in the hell would make a MOVIE like this with an Academy Award winning Anthony Hopkins? NOT ME! I cannot understand how this movie came #1 in the Box Office??? Yes, there was minimal humor-but you can get that in any genre of a film, but it was horrible in this. If this was supposed to be a horror film-they need to identify this as "strong Catholic humor and nonsense!" I was starting to drift off in the film! In the few scenes where people twisted and jumped trying to scare me--it did not work because the film prepared me that something "somewhat scary" was about to happen. I was extremely disappointed in this film. Hopkins was the only well-known celeb in the entire film. I can imagine how many people can make fun of this film if a "Catholic/Vatican" funny Scary Movie ever came out-they need to use this one! The End!

Extras Filming On "Looper!"

Today was my first day on the set of the new mobster Science-Fiction upcoming 2012 film starring Bruce Willis (Red), Emily Blunt (The Adjustment Bureau), and Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Inception), "Looper." The Casting Agent cast me as a vagrant and living in New Orleans, I have certainly seen my fair share of homeless people so playing a role like this, even as an extra was very emotional for me because they had it set up just like you see it in the movies, a ton of homeless people all gathered around a fire trying to keep warm, wearing torn up and wrinkled up clothing, etc. To have hair and makeup dress me up to look at how these people actually looked, I looked at myself in the mirror and was amazed at how they transformed me to look so pitiful! The only star that I saw on the set was Gordon-Levitt. I spoke to him briefly an he spoke back. Dealing with celebs on these movie sets are STRICT! We cannot talk to them, ask them for anything, nothing! It is ridiculous to me! Joseph was riving a convertible for all the takes and it started to hail as soon as we were on our 4th take; everyone thought that it was snow! LOL! Today was a fun Day...I love being on the set and learning whatever I can to implement in the next film I may be lucky to get myself into!

My 2011 Academy Awards "The Oscars" Picks!!!

There are only FIVE categories that I truly care about where the Oscars are concerned and they are:
1. Best Picture
2. Actor In A Leading Role
3. Actor In A Supporting Role
4. Actress In A Leading Role
5. Actress In A Supporting Role
All the other categories like Sound Mixing, Best Film Editing, Screenplay, etc are not for me. I mean, if a movie that I have seen and esp. loved wins in one of the other remaining categories, of course, I get excited, but the 5 that I listed are the ones I love! Here are my predictions:
Best Picture: "Inception" w/Leonardo DiCarpio and Luke Haas
Actor In A Leading Role: Jeff Bridges for "True Grit"
Actor In A Supporting Role: Christian Bale for "The Fighter"
Actress In A Lead Role: Natalie Portman for "Black Swan"
Actress In A Supporting Role: Amy Adams for "The Fighter"

The Opening of "No Strings Attatched" Has Rewards! Lol
This movie was definitely a “lovely romantic comedy” movie…it had pure and real sexual references! Ludacris had only a few scenes in the film-but he was funny as hell in each and every one. Ashton and Natalie worked well together! Just as I figured, it was a funny film from start to finish! I loved the music that played in the beginning of the movie. It was reminding me of the good old days when I was back in Middle School. It was truly “pimp and playa” songs! They even played “Shake a Tailfeather!” Lol! I can understand Natalie’s character completely, she always wanted NSA sex simply because she did not want to get hurt and that had happened to her in her past experiences. But like Ashton’s character told her, you cannot pick who you love-it chooses YOU and he fell for her and he could not wait and place his life on hold for her. He wanted more than just “sex buddies”, he wanted a real relationship and with real and unconditional love….so that was the in-depth lesson to be attained form this film other than sex, sex, sex, sex, and laughter! All in all-this movie is the best romantic comedy of 2011, thus far, absolutely no doubt about it! Geaux see this film! You will laugh and maybe shed a few tears! By the way--I loved the "carrot scene!"Thursday, January 20, 2011
I Met Oscar Nominee & Actor Mark Wahlberg Tonight!!!

The new action/thriller, "Contraband" starring Mark Wahlberg and Kate Beckinsale began filming (co-starring Ben Foster from "Alpha Dog" & Giovanni Ribisi from "The Perfect Stranger") here on January 17th and tonight on January 20th, I received a tip as to where the cast would be filming and I went there at 8:30pm and watched Mark Wahlberg, Ben Foster, and Giovanni Ribisi film a scene in the Warehouse District in New Orleans, LA. tonight! Mark was the only one I could catch, but trust me, I am determined to catch the other three! One down...three more to go with Ben, Kate, and Giovanni!
When I first spotted Mark filming, my legs began to shake, uncontrollably. I get like that with certain celebs. I mean, my legs did not shake when I met Jason Segel or Ed Helms. Maybe I get super-nervous when it is a certain celebrity. I dunno...after a few takes, Mark's black Expedition was parked right beside me and as he was walking towards it, I stopped him and said, "Hey Marky Mark! You are a great actor and could I have my picture taken with you?"
He then replied, "Sure, but only if we can make it fast." I handed my camera to my friend and he snapped it for us and he shook my hand and said it was great to meet me and I replied, likewise and he shot out of there. I looked at the picture and then I looked down at my hand and said to myself that I will never wash my right hand again! Lol! I had all sorts of different types of thoughts go in my head like:
A. I met Mark Wahlberg!
B. Mark Wahlberg shook my hand!
C. I looked Mark Wahlberg in the eyes!
D. I saw Mark filming a movie with my own eyes!
E. I will never wash my right hand again!
F. I talked to Mark Wahlberg!
G. I took a picture with the same guy who was in "Date Night" and "Shooter" and "The Fighter" and "The Departed!" OMG!! OMG!! OMG!!
I want to watch every single DVD that I own with Mark Wahlberg and freeze the scene, any scene that he is in and say out loud or to myself-I met him and I still cannot believe it! I feel so blessed each and every time I have the opportunity to meet a celebrity! EVERY TIME!!

Check Out "The Green Hornet in 3D!"
The Green Hornet…..what can I say about it? I can tell you that once the tiny 3D scenes were over and I tipped my glasses off-the movie was back on in regular 2D formatting and, as usual-there was NOT a lot of 3D effects, as I figured there wouldn’t be. Kato was unbelievably funny in the movie: from how he talked and how he said certain phrases/sentences, how he sang an African American rap song so slow, etc. He was kicks! Britt was funny as well. I would not rate Seth Rogen a huge comic with Dane Cook or Adam Sandler, but Seth usually makes me laugh out loud in just about any film that he does that I see. The gas gun scene was funny as hell-I think everyone was waiting to see that scene because it was the only scene in the previews that people would always LOL to. The martial art that Kato was performing was AWESOME! The entire movie was spectacular. Cameron Diaz, I thought would have hooked up or at least kissed Seth Rogen-but no go. A main and true lesson I observed in the movie was that his dad wanted him to represent the business and follow onto his legacy, but Britt was too immature and was not focused and that happens in real life as well with some families. So that was a valuable lesson to be gained from the Green Hornet. The Black Beauty was a cool car. Kato and the all the special effects that he put on that car-WOW!Saturday, January 15, 2011
Filming Day @ Tulane Univ. w/Miley Cyrus As An Extra!

Oh my goodness! Words simply cannot describe how I felt today! I arrived on the set at 8am as scheduled, and when the shuttle bus dropped us off-we had a meeting in a great and huge heated tent talking about what to and not to do on the set and that prizes would be raffled off after we were done shooting for the day! So we walked across the street to Tulane University and the directors were breaking people off and telling them what to do and where to go and we filmed three pages of scenes today the director told us.
Also, Miley was two seconds in from of us texting or calling some one and hair/makeup was all over here! I could not believe that I was that CLOSE TO HER AND ALL I WAS THINKING ABOUT WAS I AM IN A MOVIE! I was because I know how I wanted pics of her-so during takes, I told her: “Hey, Miley-how are you? Loved you in Sex and the City 2 cameo appearance scene that you were in!” She laughed and said that she was doing great and asked how I was too and I was in awe! All we heard all day from 8am until we broke for lunch at 2 was: PHOTOS UP!! ROLLING!! BACKGROUND!! CUT!!
It was revealed to us that her co-star Jeremy Piven is the bad guy and that where we were shooting today he kidnaps her and takes her back to the Sorority House and wants to kill her, but her sorority gals come in and save her life! The set up today was set up like it was a Greek festival and people were playing football shirtless and volleyball, just having fun! It was fun and lots of people just stopped by and asked for any and everyone’s autographs! People were so excited and wanted to see Miley and were jealous that we got to see her all day! Lol

MAH 1st 2011 Film: What A "Dilemma" of A Night!

Vince and Kevin were exceptional--just such phenomenal in this movie! Kevin James' acting was not as great as in Hitch or Grown Ups, but he was nonetheless funny in this movie! Vince was funny as hell throughout the entire movie especially the scene with Channing Tatum who plays Zip. Vaughn was making me laugh @ almost every scene that he was in the movie....he made some jokes that could make little kids laugh! He & Tatum did well together, also. Ryder portrayed a good character as being a two-timing whore and Connelly was great at playing the compassionate and concerned girlfriend. In conclusion-this movie was good. I was so looking forward to it because of all the laughing I was doing when I saw the preview, initially. I thought I would be laughing uncontrollably like I was in other romantic comedy movies, but I did not in this one. I did like the movie, but I felt like I should have loved it, but I didn't I think that this was a mild/funny romantic comedy and Queen Latifah was kicks in the movie although she was rarely seen in the film, but the sexual references that she was saying to Vince and Kevin was making my eyes red as hell and laughing out loud esp. the part at the end when she was talking about the motor vibrating! Lol

Saints Lose The Playoff Game!! Sad WHO DAT Day!!!
Well, all the fame and photo ops and all the autograph signings an radio shows now come to an end as the New Orleans Saints lose the game to the Seattle Seahawks tonight with a Final Score of 41-36. I just do not understand at how the last two teams that the SAINTS KILLED are coming back and killing them...toe say that they were the Superbowl Champs, all this season that they played, they barely won! I was so pissed off! Do you know how many times Bush messed up? Sharper? Harper? All the interceptions Brees threw? The team totally brought me back to Jim Mora days when he was the Head Coach & not win! I wish I never would have gotten interested in Football after the game that they played today and I do not want to hear Drew say his infamous line from his book: We Will Come Back Stronger! Geez! He has said that after every damn game and they barely win by 2 and 3 little points! Pathetic! Sad day for NOLA, I can tell you that much! Thanks Black and Gold!

The Official Last 2010 Film: "Tron Legacy: IMAX 3D"

This movie was spectacular! I did not intend on seeing this movie, but tonight I saw it in IMAX 3D...and let me tell you-I took my glasses off during the film & no matter which part-there was absolutely NO 3D effects except when the action parts were taking place. I really felt bad for the people that paid the regular admission price of $16. The movie had a goo story line and I was really impressed with it!

The Saints Kicker, G...Meets Up w/ T @ Hooters!!!
Garrett Hartley is the New Orleans Saints Place Kicker and he was the Special Guest Saints Player of the Week at Hooters tonight! He be making them field goal kicks that are placing us in the lead and winning some games-so he is a MVP just as well as Drew Brees in my book! Glad I had the chance to take a picture with him!! He is awesome and funny!!
